Early this morning at 0215 hours, Engine 47 was special called to assist the Western Berks FD with a building fire at 147 E. Penn Ave. in Wernersville Borough. Engine 47 with a crew of 7 arrived and split crews, with volunteers going to the roof and inside to the 2nd and 3rd floors assisting with overhaul. The WVFC was on scene for 2 hours.
