The calls started early this morning for the WVFC and continued throughout the day and included a 2-alarm fire.
2:56am - AFA at Grossfillex, assisting the Robesonia FC. After investigating, units found a water leak causing the alarm to activate.
8:24am - Carbon Monoxide Alarm, assisting the Marion FC. The WVFC was recalled minutes after dispatch.
9:01am - Carbon Monoxide Alarm, assisting the Newmanstown FC. Ladder and Engine 47 were cancelled upon arrival.
2:20 pm - House/Brush Fire, assisting the Bernville FC. Ladder, Attack, and Tanker made the response to 163 Lamms Mill Rd. in North Heidelberg Twp. Dispatch advised a neighbor was burning and the fire now spread to a neighboring home. Chief 26 (Robesonia) arrived on scene with a working house fire and grass and brush burning to the rear of the home. Attack 47 assisted with extinguishing the brush fire to the rear of the home while Tanker 47 assisted with water supply. Ladder 47 crew initially took care of ventilation until the fire progressed and transitioned to ladder pipe operations. Units were on scene for several hours with overhaul. Thanks to Lebanon Engine 32 (Kutztown) for transferring to Station 47 to cover our area. |
