Last night around 830pm, the WVFC was dispatched to assist the Robesonia Fire Co. with a house fire at 42 W. Penn Ave. in Robesonia Borough. Berks DES reported a dryer was on fire in the basement. Western Berks FD Commissioner 18 arrived on scene with a working fire with smoke and fire visible from the basement.

Ladder and Engine 47 made the response and upon arrival did a primary search of the 1st and 2nd floors, also checking for extension. Crews also conducted a primary search of the exposure building on the Bravo side and performed ventilation of the fire building.

Units from the WVFC were on scene for an hour and a half until available.
